Printed Sail Flags
A printed sail flag, often called a sail banner, is a tall rectangular flag printed with your artwork, supplied with a flexible fibreglass pole and carry bag, with a range of bases available to suit your surface. Gala Graphics prints them in full-colour dye sublimation, single or double sided, for forecourts, high streets, events and exhibition pitches. Movement is the point
A flag catches the eye because it moves. On a still forecourt full of static signage, the flutter is what pulls attention to your logo, offer or campaign. Printed in high-resolution dye sublimation, every colour and gradient stays sharp and weatherproof through a season of daily use, and the rectangular sail shape gives your artwork the largest, most legible print area of any flag style.

What size sail flag do I need?
Match the flag to the viewing distance. A small sail flag suits pavements, shop entrances and indoor use, where people pass within a few metres. A medium sail flag is the working standard for forecourts, event pitches and roadside positions, where it needs to read from across a car park. For long sightlines, run several flags in a row rather than one giant one: a line of matching flags reads as a destination from much further than any single flag can.
Single sided or double sided
Single-sided flags print your artwork through the fabric, so the reverse shows a mirrored image, vibrant and the lower-cost option. Double-sided flags sandwich a block-out liner between two printed layers, so the artwork reads correctly from both directions, the right choice where traffic passes on both sides.
Sail flags, not feather flags, and why
We supply rectangular sail flags rather than feather or teardrop shapes, because the straight edges and larger surface give artwork more room and better legibility, especially for lettering. If you are weighing up the shapes, our guide to feather flags for business compares them honestly, and the poles and bases we supply suit the sail format we print.
