Decide the Job First
Floor stickers do a few distinct jobs, and the design depends entirely on which one yours is doing.
A wayfinding graphic, an arrow or a directional marker, needs to be understood instantly and from the direction people are travelling. Clarity beats everything.
A promotional graphic, drawing attention to an offer or a product at the point of decision, needs to stop someone mid-step, so it wants boldness and a very short message.
A branding graphic, your logo on the floor of an entrance or an exhibition stand, is pure recognition and works best as a clean logo with space around it.
Establish which of these you are making before you design, because an arrow and a logo are designed very differently.
