Frequently Asked Questions
How much does custom printed wallpaper cost?
From £17 per square metre. It is sold by the square metre, so the price follows the size of the wall. Measure the width and height of the area you want to cover, multiply them, and that gives you the square metreage to quote against. For large or multi-site jobs, send us the details and we will price it properly.
Is your printed wallpaper fire rated for commercial premises?
Yes. The material is fire rated to B1 certification, which makes it suitable for commercial and public-facing interiors such as hotels, restaurants, bars, offices, retail units and venues. This is worth checking with any supplier, because a lot of custom wallpaper printers serve the consumer market and do not publish a fire rating.
What is the difference between printed wallpaper and a wall mural?
They describe the same thing. Printed wallpaper, wall mural, wall graphic, bespoke wallcovering and feature wall printing are all names for artwork printed to your own dimensions and hung on a wall. Ours is supplied as made-to-measure vertical strips rather than off-the-shelf rolls.
How do I measure my wall for printed wallpaper?
Measure the full width and the full height of the wall. If the wall is over a metre in either direction, measure again at intervals, because walls are rarely perfectly square. Give us the largest width and height you record. We produce the strips to suit your wall height rather than making you trim a standard roll.
Can I install it myself or do I need a decorator?
It hangs with standard wallpaper paste onto a clean, smooth, dry wall, so a competent decorator will have no trouble with it. For a small feature wall you may well manage it yourself. For a large area or artwork that has to line up precisely across several strips, use a professional, because getting the alignment right is the difference between a feature wall and an expensive mistake.
What artwork do you need from me?
Send us what you have and we will check it before printing. Artwork needs to hold up at full wall scale, which is a much bigger reproduction than most files are prepared for, so we look at resolution and scaling before committing anything to print. If it will not work, we will tell you rather than printing it and hoping.
What material is the wallpaper printed on?
The wallcovering is a 240gsm textured textile made from 100% recycled polyester yarn, with a grey backing layer for opacity. The texture gives it a soft, fabric-like surface and a premium non-gloss finish, which photographs well and does not glare under interior lighting.
