Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a roller banner and a pull up banner?
They are the same product. Roller banner, pull up banner, roll up banner, pop up banner and retractable banner stand all describe a printed graphic that pulls up out of a weighted base and hooks onto a support pole. Different suppliers favour different names, so it is worth knowing they are interchangeable when you are comparing quotes.
Are roller banners reusable?
Yes. You can roll it up and transport it between events as many times as you like. If your artwork changes, we can reprint the graphic and replace it rather than you buying a whole new stand.
What sizes do roller banners come in?
The most popular width is 800mm, and we also offer 1000mm and 1200mm wide models for larger displays. All stand approximately 2m tall, which clears the height restriction imposed by most exhibition venues.
Should I buy a roller banner or an X banner?
A roller banner retracts into its own aluminium cassette, which protects the graphic between events and gives a stable, self-supporting display. An X banner is cheaper and lighter, with the graphic tensioned across a folding frame. Choose a roller banner for one display going to event after event, and an X banner when you need several at once or the campaign is short.
Are roller banners suitable for outdoor use?
Roller banners are designed for indoor use. The mechanism and the media are not built for wind or rain. For outdoor displays, look at our printed banners or outdoor banner frames instead, which are made for the job.
How long does production take?
Typically 5 to 7 working days from artwork approval, depending on quantity. If you have a fixed event date, tell us when you enquire and we will be straight with you about whether we can hit it.
Do roller banners come with a carry case?
Yes. Every roller banner includes a protective padded carry bag for transport and storage, along with the aluminium cassette and support pole. There is nothing else to buy.
What artwork do you need for a roller banner?
Send us what you have and we will check it before printing. Vector artwork gives the best results, and our design team can format your visuals if they are not print-ready. Our print-ready artwork guide covers what to supply, and we will flag anything that will not reproduce well rather than printing it and hoping.
